GTD Planner Templates in PDF

Mike Shea, 22 December 2006

I built a new day planner for my mom and her new job based on the GTD system. This one was a full-sized 8.5x11 planner with a three ring binder. After putting it all together, I'm sort of jealous. It's big but it has a lot of room and it's very easy to hole punch a page and stick it in. It also has enough room for an enclosed "action support" folder.

I have two PDFs of the planner pages I used in my planner and in hers. Here is the 5.5 x 8.5 classic-sized GTD planner PDF and here is the 8.5" x 11" Full-sized GTD planner PDF.

I may end up rebuilding my planner into one of the larger ones sometime.

Here were the materials we bought:

8.5" by 11" Wenger Planner / Folio Dayplanner full-size contacts tabbed pages Dayplanner full-sized monthly calendar tabbed pages A set of full-sized tabs Some Uniball Signo 207 pens A 2" 3-ring binder for archived pages A 3-hole punch Two pocket spiral notebooks for an inbox (my mom horrified me by saying she doesn't want a Moleskine).

Total price was about $80.

We set up the planner with the following sections in this order:

Action pages Waiting For pages Project Pages including a Someday Mabye page Agenda pages Reference pages Tabbed monthly calendar Tabbed address & phone number pages
