Great Season for Console Games

by Mike Shea on 6 December 2003

It seems when the systems are about two years old, the games start to get really good. This season is no different. There are piles of highly rated games for both the Playstation 2 and the Xbox. People still ask me which one to get and I have to say both. Both the Xbox and the Playstation 2 have excellent games. Technically both systems are almost the same now that the PS2 is supporting 16x9 progressive scan games.

The games make the system and both systems have some really good exclusive games. The Playstation 2 has Ratchet and Clank one and two, Final Fantasy X and X2, Medal of Honor Frontline and Metal of Honor Rising Sun, Everquest Online Adventurs: Frontiers

Xbox has Max Payne 2, Deus Ex Invisible War, Morrowind Gold Box, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, and of course Halo.

Both systems now have SSX 3, Grand Theft Auto 3 and Grand Theft Auto Vice City, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and Soul Calibur 2.
